Every week our mentors show up for kids who have been let down by the adults in their lives. The only thing standing between a kid on our waiting list and a mentor is the support to screen, train and walk alongside the next volunteer.

We screen and train a mentor

Every mentor is a healthy Christian adult who passes screening and training before meeting a child.

A kid from our waiting list is matched one to one with their mentor.

Two to four hours a week for at least a year. 83% of mentors keep going into a second year.

BECOME A MENTOR

Two hours a week can change a kid's whole story.

96 kids on Long Island are waiting for a mentor. If that's you, the application takes about 3 minutes.

You're a fit if you're:

  • Able to give 2 to 4 hours a week
  • 21 or older
  • A licensed driver with a car
  • A Christian who has attended church for at least a year
